Research Interests

My research focuses on the coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical (THMC) processes governing subsurface systems, with a particular emphasis on geomechanics of fluid injection and induced seismicity. I integrate laboratory geomechanical approaches with high-performance numerical modeling to investigate subcritical stress behavior, time-dependent deformation, and microcracking. Applications of my work span carbon and hydrogen storage, geothermal energy, and earthquake mechanics. I am also interested in leveraging machine learning techniques to enhance interpretation of geophysical data for subsurface monitoring.
