Research Interests
My research focuses on novel concepts to improve the economic and technical viability of accessing deep underground resources. Technologies are developed in the laboratory and tested in the field under relevant environments, in the contexts of: (i) drilling of deep, hard rock wells using alternative thermal-spallation-based approaches, and (ii) facilitating the creation of deep reservoirs by novel methods to improve hydraulic fracturing and enhance productivity of oil, gas or geothermal wells.
