Research Interests

I enjoy working at the intersection of laboratory experiments, fieldwork, and numerical modeling to study geothermal energy extraction. Particularly, I am interested in investigating the chemical behavior and the techno-economic feasibility of using supercritical CO2 – instead of water and/or brines – as the subsurface working fluid in various geothermal systems. For this, I collect experimental data and construct reservoir simulations to research the multiphase, multicomponent flow of sCO2 in geothermal rocks and its chemical reactive transport in fractured porous media.
