DEmonstrate Production enhancement through LOw cost dIrectional steel shot drilling for district HEATing

Reliable delivery of economic well performance of mid-deep geothermal projects is affected to a high degree by uncertain reservoir quality. Construction of multi-lateral wells is well known as an effective concept to overcome the challenges of reservoir heterogeneity by increasing the reservoir contact. In this project, the operational performance and economic impact of multi-lateral well constructions with standard rotary steerable systems will be assessed for Swiss applications  by conducting field trials, productivity models and economic analyses.

I am responsible for  reservoir modeling, productivity analysis and techno-economic assessments of geothermal projects using the advanced multi-lateral drilling technology.

Project Manager – EASYGO ITN project (11/2020-10/2024)

Efficiency and Safety in Geothermal Operations

I am responsible for the administrative, financial and legal management of the EASYGO Innovative Training Network. EASYGO is the first standardized doctoral education program on geothermal energy in Europe. It funds 13 PhD positions at 4 universities in 4 countries. 10 industry partners joined the project and will host the students for an industry secondment. All PhD students will receive a joint degree from two universities. (This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 956965).
