Research Interests

My research is focused on geomechanics. I had previously worked on a variety of geomechanical projects, including the experimental study of deformation and failure of porous sandstones subject to true triaxial stresses, the characterization of static/dynamic poroelastic behaviors of unconventional reservoir rocks, and the integrated geomechanics study on the effectiveness of hydraulic stimulation in shales and geothermal reservoirs. My research interest lies on the applications of geomechanics to geo-resources development, natural and anthropogenic earthquakes and scientific drilling in the Earth’s upper crust.
